Band of Skulls Premiere New Video on Noisey and Announce Additional Tour Dates
The new official video for Band of Skulls' track "You're Not Pretty But You Got It Goin' On" premiered today via Noisey! Click HERE to watch or check it out below. The song appears on the band's most recent effort Sweet Sour [iTunes link], released earlier this year.
Band of Skulls have also just announced additional headline dates on their fall North American tour that began last week in Calgary, Alberta on September 11. The dates include six supporting slots with Red Hot Chili Peppers plus appearances at the Rifflandia Fesitval in British Columbia, the DeLuna Festival in Florida and a Saturday slot at Austin City Limits on October 13. Band of Skulls Featured In Grey Goose Rising Icons Series at VEVO
Grey Goose has selected Band of Skulls as part of their Rising Icons series over on VEVO! This three-part documentary takes an intimate look at a day in the life of the band. In the first video, the group explains how the band came together as well as their admiration for vinyl records. The second video features the band’s artistic processes and the change in instrument roles during the song writing process. The third video is a live performance, with the group playing tracks from their new album, Sweet Sour, which hits iTunes exclusively on February 7th. Band of Skulls Sweet Sour Photo Contest
Band of Skulls has just launched a new photo contest. In order to participate you must select a track from their upcoming album Sweet Sour to represent with an image of your creation and post your submission on Twitter or Instagram along with the hashtag: #SweetSourBoS (not case sensitive)
Twelve winners will be selected and each will receive a signed and exclusive canvas print of their own photo alongside the counterpart image created by the band. The contest ends February 21st and winners will be announced on the 23rd.

Band of Skulls have just premiered the first new track from their forthcoming album, Sweet Sour, over at SPIN! Click HERE or the image below to give the title track a listen. Sweet Sour, will be released on February 7, 2012.


Band Of Skulls To Release Sweet Sour On February 7th, US Tour Dates Announced
Band of Skulls will release their highly anticipated second album Sweet Sour on February 7, 2012 via their own label, Electric Blues Records under exclusive license in the U.S. to Vagrant Records in partnership with Shangri-La Music. Sweet Sour is the follow-up to their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey which was universally embraced by the U.S. media with early supporters at Entertainment Weekly naming them “Your Next Favorite Band.”
Following the success of Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, the band retreated to a studio in Norfolk UK to begin writing Sweet Sour. They returned to their home studio in Southampton to start the recording which they completed in Wales at Rockfield Studios. Sweet Sour was produced by Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy) and mixed by Nick Launay (Grinderman, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire). The complete Sweet Sour tracklisting can be seen below.
On March 13th the band returns to Austin, TX on the eve of the SXSW Music Festival with a show at Antone’s to kick off their first U.S. tour in support of Sweet Sour. The band’s live show has been a constant highlight at previous festivals by the likes of SPIN (Best of Coachella) and Rolling Stone (Best of SXSW) amongst many others. In December, the band will release the first U.S. single ‘Sweet Sour’ off of the new album which will be available as a download at iTunes and other digital download stores. Fans can click HERE for a first look and listen of a track from the new album ‘The Devil Takes Care Of His Own.’ The band created the unique kung-fu themed video to accompany this first listen from Sweet Sour.

We are very excited to announce that Band of Skulls have signed to Vagrant Records in partnership with Shangri-La for America! The band's highly anticipated and as yet untitled sophomore album will be released in early 2012.
